LOOSE RING BITS

The loose ring allows movement of the mouthpiece to encourage salivation. If it fits snugly, it will be pressed against the cheek in response to the action of the opposite rein, helping with lateral movement of the horse's head. With a larger ring, more cheek area is in contact adding to its overall strength, and it helps stop the sliding of the bit through the mouth.
